Muerta Skull Tattoo

Earlier this year my brother Aaron charged me with drawing up another tattoo for him (before the ship).  This one was inspired by one of his son's shirts:

I know I ended up doing the entire drawing twice because the first was much larger than he wanted.  I'm pretty sure this image is the first drawing (though the second was a near exact smaller copy, plus color):
